The Swiss environment and high educational fees make this University a prime location for financially independent students, who are looking for excellent private education - mainly to work later in the area of banking, with international organizations or multi-national corporations. Some of the children of very prominent business leaders and politicians in Russia, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Oman, Argentina, Mongolia, Thailand etc. have studied at IUG. IUG aims to develop analytical skills and human behavior that serves the needs of future leaders in the professional & political world scenario of 2020.

IUG is part of a growing network of private Universities, which are aiming to be distinct in the forms of financing and independent of state-offered education. Financial independence of their students is an indicator of financial backing; however, the main driver for parents and their children to chose IUG is to acknowledge the need for exposure to a global, multi-ethnical environment and to study in a city which is safe, efficient and home of many international organizations. Only the best students are allowed to study at IUG since the international learning experience is only possible when high admission standards are met.
