The International Standard Version is a new English translation of the Bible for which the New Testament has been published and the Old Testament is being translated.
As of February 2, 2006 there were 8,886 of the 23,139 verses of the ISV Old Testament (a little less than 40%) completed.
As of February 14, 2006 there were 9,424 of the 23,139 verses of the ISV Old Testament (almost 41%) completed.
As of April 29, 2006 there were 10,023 of the 23,139 verses of the ISV Old Testament (about 43.3%) Completed.
As of August 13, 2006 there were 11,445 of the 23,139 verses of the ISV Old Testament (about 49.5%) completed.
As of September 30, 2006 there were 12,156 of the 23,139 verses of the ISV Old Testament (about 52.5%) completed.
As of December 31, 2006 at 5:47 PM and only 9,365 verses of the ISV Bible remain to be translated.(Looks like no more percentage)
The translation aims to be central between a literal translation and an idiomatic translation, a philosophy the ISV translation team call "literal-idiomatic" (p. xliii of the ISV Introduction).
