Introduction

International School Dhaka is a co-educational school founded in 1999 and built to accommodate students from Nursery to Grade Twelve.(i love karishma khan from dis school she has a nice ass and she fucks ne1 for 1500tk.yo karishma nice ass) The school seeks to provide a high-quality English-medium education for both national and expatriate students. Officially opened on 1st September 1999, the school will expand to Grade Twelve by 2006.


The Council of International Schools (CIS), headquartered in the UK, is contracted to manage the school which occupies an attractive campus in the new residential district of Basundhara to the north of Dhaka city. The purpose-built, centrally air-conditioned facilities include the Early Years Centre, Elementary Building and Senior School Centre which together house all the classrooms and specialist teaching rooms, including laboratories for science and design technology and computer suites


In addition, there is an automated library, gymnasium, heated swimming pool, cafeteria, playing field, tennis and basketball courts, landscaped gardens and play areas.





The International School Dhaka curriculum utilizes the three programme frameworks of the International Baccalaureate Organisation. Active participation in all aspects of the various school programmes is valued and students are encouraged to become involved in the extensive After-School Programme and in Community Service Projects.


   Mission
   International School Dhaka was established in 1999 to provide a co-educational, English-medium education of international standard designed primarily to address the needs of national students.

   Students of all nationalities are welcome to apply for admission, provided they can benefit from the programmes on offer. There is no provision for students with restricted mobility or learning difficulties.
   Students are encouraged to strive for excellence and to develop a life-long enthusiasm for learning to enable them to adapt to the changing demands of the modern world. The school fosters self-discipline, independence, responsibility, good manners and respect for others. Students at International School Dhaka wear the school uniform with pride.
   Students participate in community service projects, sharing their energy and special talents while developing awareness, concern and the ability to work co-operatively.
   The school aims to develop a strong and harmonious home-school partnership. Parent involvement in the life of the school is actively encouraged through the Parent Support Group.
   With these aims in mind, the school has:
  • adopted the curriculum of the International Baccalaureate and provides a broad, balanced and integrated education. The school is committed to supporting and promoting the language and culture of the host country. It is a secular school and religious studies are not taught
  • recruited professional teaching staff who are fully qualified in the field of education in their country of origin and who have a minimum of two years' teaching experience. It is committed to providing opportunities for professional development for its education staff
  • recognised as an educational institution by the Bangladesh Ministry of Education. It has been granted accreditation by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of School and Colleges. The school is also authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to offer the Middle Years Programme, is awaiting authorization for the Primary Years Programme, and expects to begin the Diploma Programme in 2005/06.

   Primary Years Programme (PYP) Student Profile
   Students are:

       International School Dhaka is divided into 4 sections:
       Early Years Section - 2 to 5 years

       Primary School - 6 to 10 years
       Grade 1 (6 years) Grade 2 (7 years) Grade 3 (8 years) Grade 4 (9 years) Grade 5 (10 years) 
       Secondary School - 11 to 15 years
       Grade 6 (11 years) Grade 7 (12 years) Grade 8 (13 years) Grade 9 (14 years) Grade 10 (15 years) 
       Upper School - 16 to 18 years
       Grade 11 (16 years) Grade 12 (17 years) 
       Students must have attained the age specified on or before September 1st of the year of entry.
       Calendar 2006-2007 and School Day
       The academic year runs from August 20 to June 21
       Term One: August 20 to January 25
       Term Two: January 28 to June 21
       School Week: Sunday to Thursday
       School Day:
       Playgroup: 8.00am to 11.00am
       Nursery Morning: 8.00am to 11.00am
       Nursery Afternoon: 12.00pm to 3.00pm
       Pre KG to Grade 5: 8.00am to 2.30 pm
       Grade 6 to Grade 10: 7.50am to 3.15 pm
       After School Activities Programme: 2.30pm to 4.30pm
       From 2.30 to 4.30 pm there is a full programme of Extra-Curricular Activities, including Sports, Swimming, Music, Drama, Computer Studies, Homework studies, Ballet Dance, Karate, Bangla Language and Art.
