The International Kickboxing Federation (IKF) is the Largest Kickboxing Sanctioning Body in the World. The Organization also hosts the Largest and highest ranked/visited Kickboxing Sanctioning body website in the world with. (Confirmed by Alexa.com)
IKF Sanctions both Pro and Amateur Kickboxing around the world in 4 different rule styles:
- Full Contact: Above the Waist/American Kickboxing
- International: Low Kick
- Muay Thai: Allowing Knees & Elbows
- San Shou: All of the above along with Throws.
The IKF also has a sister organization for Mixed Martial Arts which is the ISCF, International Sport Combat Federation: www.ISCFMMA.com
The IKF has both male and female Titles (State, Regional, National, continental, Intercontinental & World) and both Pro and Amateur Rankings.

The IKF Was Established in July of 1992 by cofounders Steve Fossum and Dan Stell. Both Stell and Fossum created the IKF from their knowledge and experience as past Kickboxing Event Promoters, Trainers, Fighters and Officials of the sport. Dan Stell who held kickboxing titles in several organizations, stepped down from direct administrative duties of the IKF and now serves as the chief official for the organization.
The IKF does many events throughout the World organized by the many IKF Representatives worldwide. Mr. Fossum is also the owner and president of the ISCF (International Sport Combat Federation) which is a sanctioning body for Mixed Martial Arts. although the IKF is still a strong Kickboxing Sanctioning Body, the ISCF experienced tremendous growth during 2006 as one of the largest Sanctioning Bodies for Mixed Martial arts.
