International Examiner

The International Examiner is a biweekly Asian American newspaper based in Seattle, Washington's International District. Distributed free, it was founded in 1974 by Gerald Yuasa and Lawrence Imamura.

In 1975, the Examiner was purchased by the Alaska Cannery Workers Association; three years later it became independent again. As of 2004 its circulation is 10,000.

Founded in 1974, the International Examiner is one of the oldest and largest English-language Asian American newspapers in the Northwest. The Examiner is a registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
