International Dance Union

IDU - or International Dance Union is an alternative major dance sport organization, head quartered in Kiev, Ukraine. According to Ihor Mashyn, Executive director IDU:It is not one more International dancing organization, it is a new approach to organizing dance competitions, a new strategy of development, a new philosophy of dancing business.

- Creation and popularization of a free international dance market without prohibitions and limitations:
- Conducting of really open competitions for dancers of every organization;
- Providing all possible support for existing open competitions in the World.
- Conducting of anti corruption policy in the field of dance business;
- International recognition of professionalism as the top of dancing pyramid in the field of teaching and expertise:
- To switch teaching in all dance divisions of IDU to a professional basis;
- To invite only professional specialists with WD&DSC licenses to make an examination at ALL title competitions of IDU.
- Introduction of new ideas, concepts, systems of conducting dance business and dance competitions.
- Promotion and development of new dance schools.
- Peaceful and constructive cooperation with all dance organizations for the benefit of dance.
The title IDU Competitions and stages of IDU Cup in ballroom dancing are holding well under our aegis in different countries. We are planning to conduct the IDU World Championship.
In the nearest future IDU will be dealing with other dance styles.
At present 18 organizations from 16 countries of the World and 4 continents are IDU members. This is the result of only one year work!
IDU is ready to cooperate with all concerned organizations on an equal and mutually beneficial basis. All dance organizations members of IDU are waiting for close cooperation with WD&DSC in the nearest future.
