Interjet is a low-cost airline based in Toluca, Mexico. It operates from its hub at Lic. Adolfo López Mateos International Airport. Interjet flew its inaugural flight on the 15th June 2006 from the city of Toluca to Los Cabos International Airport, one of the main airports operated by the Company. It offers shuttle service between different points in Mexico City and Toluca Airport

The low-cost start up is currently leasing seven ex-Volare Airlines 150-seat A320-214s from GATX pending delivery of ten new aircraft from 2007. Interjet also holds ten options for A320s.[citation needed]
On January 10, Airbus announced that Interjet converted ten options for A320s to hard orders. [2]
