InterFuse is a yearly, three day camping oriented event held in Missouri that upholds the ideals of the Burning Man Festival. It is a Midwest Regional Burn, similar to other Regional Burns held throughout the world every year.
The most recent InterFuse was held May 5 to May 7, 2006 at Camp Ozark Avalon - located in Boonville, Missouri, off I-70 between Kansas City and St. Louis.
The goal of InterFuse is to unite the scattered Burners and pre-Burners of the Midwest in the flames of this celebration of Art, Fire, and Life - further spreading the unique Burning Experience through the region.
InterFuse is sponsored by the Midwest Burners.
Like at Burning Man, InterFuse will build a temporary city-community of tents, domes, light, dance, fire and music in the wilderness (in this case the forest, not the desert). Diversity is celebrated continuously from Friday until Sunday morning. On the final day, the city is dismantled and the Burners will Leave No Trace.
