Intent Software GmbH & Co. is a German-based computer-game developing company. It has one office in Hamburg, Germany.

The company was founded in 2001 by Daniel Brockhaus, Patrick Kollmann, Markus Roeder, Alexander von der Geest, and a small group of investors. The company is relatively small and has not produced a significant amount of games, however, it has received a fair-share of media coverage. However, they consistently say they are developing new games if they find investors.

Astonia II The first Astonia is believed to have been pen and paper game, or more generally, just an idea. However, soon after, Astonia II developed and went online. Astonia II had roughly 20 players on most the time and a strong in-game community. Once Astonia III Astonia was developed, Astonia II was sold and run on other servers with the name somewhat changed.

Astonia III (Astonia) Was the sequel to Astonia II. The game was a huge jump from Astonia II and marked Intent-Software as a true game developer. The game is extremely popular and the producers claim that it has several thousand members. The game was launched in 2002. It has since become a somewhat popular MMORPG
