Integer donuts
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Like an integer number, an integer donut is a whole, complete donut. A fractional donut is the remainder of a donut left when a coworker cuts or tears a donut into more than one piece. The fractionalization of donuts is not considered acceptable in most workplaces. Fractionalization is unhygienic and often leads to excess food waste.
Donut practices are a focal point of workplace courtesy. The hygenic practices and the courtesy accorded can often facilitate interpersonal harmony or cause discordant relations amongst coworkers. While this seemingly insignificant practice is often overlooked, it can cause a ripple effect throughout the office. Couple this issue with the startling statistic about how few people actually wash their hands after using the lavatory and the concern can be easily understood.
Consider the "fractional donut" the equivalent of "double dipping" and you see the concerns for hygeine and sanitation.
