Internet users by country, from CIA factbook figures which were accessed April 2006. Their page says it was last updated 10 January 2006, however the date of the information is listed as being mostly 2002 and 2003, with a few from 2001 and 2004. The CIA figures say there is approx. 600 million internet users worldwide, whereas more recent sources claim over 1 billion [1] [2]. This should probably be regarded as a historic map of internet use figures for about 2002-3.
