[edit] Mark Taylor link
The link to Mark Taylor on this page points to a disambiguation page. I don't know which Mark Taylor the link refers to, so could someone who does please fix the link? Raven4x4x 05:54, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
- Fixed...presumably it's the guy from Drop the Beat? Adam Bishop 08:32, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] NPOV dispute
Thier are two main troubling passeges in this article:
Instant Star also features surprisingly well crafted music. The songs featured on Instant Star are even superior to the music of many famous teen/twenty-something musical acts out now.
I think this section can easily be fixed by simply removing the sentance, however the next passage is what troubles me the most:
Instant Star does not share the same issue based storylines that Degrassi is famous for. But the show's storylines do feature things that for the most part, are new for American teen drama viewers. For instance Jude's love interest and eventual boyfriend in season 1 is black and a rapper. You rarely see a main character on popular teen drama involved in interracial relationship. And if they do, it's never something that lasts more than 3 episodes. But Instant Star did it (and did it twice) in the same season.
Not only does this sound POVish but also it is unverrifyable, Even if said passage is true I'm not sure how intentional this was, (it seems logical to me that the show would do this without paying any attention to the main characters race) this article makes it seem like race played a major issue which from what I've seen the show doesn't. I fixed the page initially since there was NOTHING about the show on there aside from the cast and crew. I reworded your complaint and this should resolve your issue.

[edit] Song Article Titles
Since there are other songs named Under My Skin and That Girl I suggest that one use the titles Under My Skin (Alexz Johnson) and That Girl (Alexz Johnson) for writing articles regarding these songs. Kwinterling9 03:21, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] References to Pop Culture?
These seem pretty unnecesary and unimportant. Eating a bag of Doritos is a form of product placement, not a reference to pop culture. The same goes for almost everything on that list besides the tidbit about the Harrisons' names. This list needs to be shortened dramatically if not removed or replaced entirely. [edit] Hard for Canadians to edit this article at this point in time
Since CTV hasn't shown the rest of Season 2 and hasn't started on Season 3, we Canadians are really behind on our knowledge of Instant Star. I'd like to be able to make some more edits at some point, but can't until I see more episodes.
Over to any and all (outside Canada) who have up-to-date knowledge of the show!
