Instituto de Banca y Comercio

Instituto de Banca y Comercio (also known as IBC) is a technical institution located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This institute offers a wide variety of career choices with the advantage of finishing studies in a short period (usually a year.) Instituto de Banca y Comercio has a number of campuses and learning sites located through the island.

Instituto de Banca y Comercio was founded in 1974 (with the name of 'International Banking School') by Fidel Alonso Valls. Its first location only counted with 2 classrooms and 15 students. The main focus of the school, at its foundation, was to prepare students for careers in the banking industry.

Slow but steadily, the institution gained recognition and started expanding through the island. Nowadays, it is considered to be the top technical institution in the island. It now counts with 8 campuses and 10 learning sites, and about 15,000 students enrolled.
