Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) is an Argentine private university located in the city of Buenos Aires. Its focus is primarily on Information Technology and Engineering studies. In spite of being a small university, with only about 1400 undergraduate students, ITBA is regarded as one of the best engineering schools in the country, with an annual graduation average of 200 engineers, about 10% of the annual national total.

ITBA was created on November 20th 1959 by a group of Navy officers and professionals from various fields, with the purpose of advancing the teaching of engineering in Argentina.

ITBA's first president (called "rector" in Argentina) was retired Admiral Garzoni who retired around 1979 and died shortly thereafter.
