Insensitive (song)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Insensitive" was a single written and performed by Canadian singer-songwriter Jann Arden from her 1994 second album Living Under June.

The song is notable in that it remains by far Arden's most successful single to date outside of Canada, reaching number 12 on the Billboard charts in the US where it was also featured on the soundtrack to the film Bed of Roses. It also reached the top 10 on the US Adult Contemporary singles chart and in several countries including Australia and it was the theme song of a major television advertisement in Italy.

Another unique point about the song is that unlike most of her material, Arden did not compose it herself. It was instead composed by her friend, Canadian songwriter Anne Loree.

It won the 1996 Juno Award for Single of the Year and it was also named "Video of the Year".

"Insensitive" was also included on Arden's 2001 greatest hits album, Greatest Hurts, in both the original and live versions.
