Innocent (graphic novel)

Innocent is a graphic novel published by King Tractor Press (2006) written by Shawn Granger. Much derives from actual tales from biblical apocryphia and pseudepigraphia (that is, the “lost books” of the Bible). The artwork is by Nando, Jennifer Aponte, Elizabeth Luntao, Julian Aguilera, Armando Abeleda, Daniel Zeta, & Daniel Vega.
This first volume of Innocent: The Series graphic novels tells the tale of Innocent, an old testament angel of retribution, and his friend David. David happens to be a psychotic of the ninth degree, but Innocent is able to keep him in check by enlisting him to help with his daily chores of slaughtering evil. The two spend their days talking philosophy and searching for demon heads to bash in.
Innocent : The Sword is a mini series based on the early experiences of Innocent in Japan. Set in 16th Century Japan, in a very rural and mysterious area of the Japanese mountains. The Sword series tells the origin of Innocent's favored katana sword as well as other details about his past.
Published by King Tractor Press who also publishes Alecto:_Songbook, Gene Gardens, Devil Water and Family Bones.
