[edit] History

On September 4, 2003, Inké launched its first product, the HS-45 Auto Refill System, at the local computer exhibition, Comex. With this product, it claimed to be "The World's No. 1 Selling Inkjet Auto Refill System".

In 2004, Inké launched another three Auto Refill Systems: the HS-29, LX-50 and LX-70. In 2005, it followed up with the HS-56 under the moniker of AIR, an abbreviation of "Auto Inkjet Refill". It also launched its first colour refill systems, CN-03 and CN-06, under the Colorbox moniker. To distinguish its different refilling systems, it rebranded its earlier refill systems under the moniker, Coffeemaker, due to their outward resemblance to coffee machines.

On September 21, 2005, Inké announced its franchising business, Inké Refills Franchise at Global Franchising and Licensing, a local franchising show. As of the end of 2005, it had 24 franchisees in Singapore. On November 15, 2005, it announced its first overseas franchise in Thailand. It claims to be the fastest growing franchise in Southeast Asia.

The tagline of the franchise appears to be "Printer partners for life!". Customers can save up to 70% of the costs of OEM inkjet printer cartridges by utilising the services of the franchise. There is also a money-back guarantee for failed refills, although there have been differences in the eligibility periods in different countries.

[edit] Franchise

Upon registering and paying the franchise fee, each franchisee receives a kiosk stand measuring about 1 square metre in area. It contains Inké's Auto Refill Systems and manual refilling kits (provided by its parent company, Fullmark).

Franchisees undergo training sessions to familiarise themselves with the service before commencing operations.

Presently, franchisees can be found in the following countries:

  1. Indonesia
