Injil District

The Injil District surrounds Herat District and bordres to the North with Kushk District,with Karukh District to the East,with Guzara District to the South and with Zinda Jan District to the West.The population is 215 100 (2005 year).Pashtun are 40%,Hazara are 4%,Tajik are 55% and Turkmen are 1%.The district center is Injil (Enjil).
The Hari Rud River flows on the southern border of the district,shared with Guzara District.The most part of the district are planes and low mountains.The water is not such problem like in other regions.The arable land is in use and irrigated and the agriculture is the main source of income .
