Talk:Ingush language

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am certainly not a specialist, but other articles in Wikipedia (like Languages of the Caucasus) mention that Ingush is part of the North Central Caucasian languages, while the article mention it is part of the Northeast Caucasian languages. Maybe a specialist could resolve this. Thanks. olivier 09:13, Jun 25, 2004 (UTC)

SIL says North Central and as far as the Internet goes they're the most specialized source. Wikiacc 21:40, 28 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] ISO 639-2: cau?

ISO 639-2 cau

Isn't the ISO language code inh instead of cau? see ISO_639#I --TarmoK 11:51, 25 May 2005 (UTC)

Actually, the ISO 639-2 code is cau (which is the umbrella code for Caucasian languages) and the SIL code is inh. Inh is not a valid ISO 639-2 code. ([1]) Wikiacc 19:38, May 25, 2005 (UTC)
