Ingo Giezendanner

Ingo Giezendanner (1975-) is a painter and installation artist and member of the Kroesos Foundation. He lives and works in Zurich, Switzerland, where he began producing illustrated books in 1994. In 1995 he exhibited in the international festival of art organised at Escherwyssplatz by Mark Divo along with German artist Leumund Cult and controversial British artist, Lennie Lee. In 1999 he exhibited at an exhibition in Glacegarten with a number of artists including graffiti art collective Mikry Drei. In 2000 he exhibited at the Kunstmuseum Thun. In 2002 he took part in the exhibition at the Dada Museum, formerly known as the Cabaret Voltaire, in Zurich with Mark Divo, Aiana Calugar, Jan Theiler, Dan Jones and Lennie Lee. In the same year he was included in an important exhibition in the Helmhaus. In 2003 he was part of a large international festival at the Sihlpapierfabrik, and in 2005 he was included in a show at the Kinsky palace, Prague, as part of the Real Biennale. He has won a number of important Swiss prizes, has been Swiss artist in residence in New York, has published a number of books and has exhibited in several museums including the Kunstmuseum Solothurn, as well as showing film at the prestigious Videoex film festival.
