I prefer Smoddy's version. I think we need to add the website http://www.cricket.com.au/ ,

Note that the year Test status granted is wrong! Test status was only granted to that match retrospectively. Since you're showing the first Test details, it's also superfluous. Cricket Australia and John Buchanan should be linked, but they look better not in bold face. The logo looks better than the cap. There should be a win/loss/draw results summary, not just win/loss - and a win/loss/NR for ODIs. Also, what about international Twenty20 games?

I don't see a need for a "result in last World Cup", but would like to see an ICC Champions Trophy summary, jguk 11:46, 31 May 2005 (UTC)

I despise the ICC's money-grab that is the Champions Trophy. I agree about the year granted thing is incorrect. It should be win/loss/draw/tie though, and win/loss/tie/NR. If international Twenty20 takes off, then we can put it in. At the moment, few matches have been played, and it just seems slightly over the top to me right now. I put the result in last world cup to give an idea of the team's current status, but I guess that is slightly invalidated by the rankings. smoddy 13:21, 31 May 2005 (UTC)

I prefer Smoddy's too. A few small things: I don't think I'd have the ICC Champions Trophy — I feel it's easy to put too many stats in an infobox. Don't forget ties in Tests and ODIs too. I would have an "as of" date, like the player infobox does. You've correctly changed some "test" to "Test", but there are still a couple left over. Stephen Turner 12:57, 31 May 2005 (UTC)

I prefer the second template, with the logo. That's partly because of my unease about the use of the cap photo (even though the use of logos also relies on "fair use"), partly because it's simple and obvious, and partly because it would be a simple way to allow all teams' infoboxes to have a similar appearance. I'm with Smoddy in thinking that all four results (I suppose it could even be five, if you count Tests abandoned as being separate from draws) should be included in the results summary. Agreed also that the Champions Trophy is a side-issue and can be dealt with on individual teams' pages; the World Cup is enough. Loganberry 13:53, 31 May 2005 (UTC)

So, are we planning to swap them around any time soon? smoddy 21:26, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Broken image links

Why is this template assuming all images will be jpegs? Pakistani cricket team currently has no image, so I tried to use the placeholder Image:NO IMAGE YET to prevent the template displaying a broken image link, but since that's not a .jpg, it doesn't work. I'm sure there are situations when other file types would be used in the template instead, and see no reason for the template to force a .jpg extension. Angela. 23:12, 11 October 2005 (UTC)

No reason. Thanks for pointing it out. I've fixed it. I've also added flags for all the countries that didn't have an image. Stephen Turner 20:40, 21 October 2005 (UTC)
