[edit] Template talk

This template is needed because of the faults of {{Bosnia and Herzegovina municipalities}}. The latter looks ugly, doesn't have optional parameters, and doesn't have a space for the entity, which is very important information. This template also includes the time zone and two spaces for the population (at the census and the latest estimate). It's inconvenient to use the same infobox for both entities, because we need a Canton argument for the FBiH, but if we did we should base it on the RS template and just extend it to the other entity.
Now, as for the map, the old one has many inaccuracies, not least that Srebrenica municipality is divided into three parts on it. The one used by this template doesn't have those inaccuracies, and shows the internal divisions of BiH. This may seem "irrelevant" to some people, but it lets people see where a municipality is within both RS and BiH. BiH is much more internally divided that, say, Serbia, yet on the Serbia municipality maps we show all the districts (the autonomous provinces go without saying).
Just a few thoughts to get the discussion going. // Hadžija 12:53, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Welcome back Hadžija. We missed you very much! About municipalities... I really don't understand why you don't like template {{Bosnia and Herzegovina municipalities}}. Every municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina need to have same infobox like the other countries. And there is nothing wrong with this template. It has space for entity and optional space for canton (we use it only in FBiH). About the time zone, it is totaly irrelevant information because whole country is in one time zone. --Kahriman 21:50, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Explanation

My last edit is in accordance with the following comment, left on my talk page:

"Municipalities of Bosnia and Herzegovina do not exist - municipalities and other forms of territorial organisation are established by entities. For Republika Srpska, it is Zakon o teritorijalnoj organizaciji i lokalnoj samoupravi Republike Srpske, and there certainly is a corresponding law for the Federation. So, articles on municipalities, corresponding titles in the template etc. should be called "Municipalities of Republika Srpska" and "Municipalities of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina"."

[edit] Explanation

Linking "BiH", in my opinion, visually unbalances the template. You should calm your attitude and stop assuming bad faith, which is against WP policy. Accusing me of pushing "Serb-nationalistic POV" is just out of order. I just don't think we should make this a link. Equally, I could accuse you of supporting Bosniak nationalism by not linking Republika Srpska, but guess what? That wouldn't look very nice either.--Hadžija 12:38, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

I assumed your POV intentions by the edits you’ve made related to articles about former Yugoslavia. But feel free to edit, you can do whatever you want to the template because you know, Republika Srpska will never be an independent state nor join Serbia.--MaGioZal 12:33, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, again you make assumptions. I don't want RS to be independent or to join Serbia. But that's too much for you to comprehend, that individuals have opinions not in accordanc with what the propaganda has told you they think.--Hadžija 13:16, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
If you think the democratic Western World media, scholars and the UN’s ICTY are just “anti-Serb propaganda machines”, well, there’s nothing I can do.--MaGioZal 13:31, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, if you think the western world is as free and democratic as all that you must be living on another planet. Just because there isn't a jackboot stamping on your face doesn't mean everything's hunky-dory.--Hadžija 14:11, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
