[edit] Specifications of the Infobox

That infobox is dedicated to Paris public transportations. As a result, SNCF national networks have no reason to be mentioned in that infobox. However, to increase the visibility of SNCF networks pages, I agree to post links about SNCF networks on each Transilien services articles. Metropolitan 19:52 24 March 2006 (CET).

SNCF Networks is what Transilien runs on and there are no Transilien subnetworks currently in existance. there is no reason to have any of the imaginary 6 Transilien networks on any globally linked article. There is a reason why I have naed the discputed category SNCF Ile de France and not SNCF Grandes-Lignes! Regards, Captain Scarlet 18:58 24 March 2006 (GMT).

I am ready your edits and although I appreciate the gesture, I must once again stress that it is not transilien Saint Lazare that used SNCF Saint-Lazare network, but simple Transilien. Regards, Captain Scarlet 19:03 24 March 2006 (GMT).
Fine I'm glad about it. The thing is that we won't put the list of Paris streets in the infobox for the simple reason that RATP buses are running on them. Paris public transportations are about transportation services. Actually, when you've re-edited my edits, I was actually adding a link on the Transilien Saint-Lazare page to the réseau Saint-Lazare page. So don't consider I'm against you. Now, I don't want to lose my time to constantly re-edit after you so please be reasonable and understand that it's a matter of logic to consider things this way.
I'll add a warning on the template page to say the Infobox is dedicated to articles about Paris public transportations services. So now you're warned that if you keep editing it, this will be considered as vandalism. Metropolitan 20:04 24 March 2006 (CET).
If you continue to ignore what Regional Rail services are I will simply report the template for moderation. By adding the warning you are imposing your opinion and putting me in a position where I will have to create a new template and start restricting the use of this one solely to your particular inaccurate scheme. Captain Scarlet 19:10 24 March 2006 (GMT).
I'm not imposing my view on things, you do, and this against any logical reasoning. There are absolutely no reason to mention national networks article in a template about Paris public transportation services. Now, if you want to report this for moderation, do so, I would be pleased. Actually, if only I know how to report for moderation, I would have already done so. Metropolitan 20:20 24 March 2006 (CET).
There are absolutely no reason to mention national networks article in a template about Paris public transportation services. This is wher eI think that sometimes I am on some kind of parallel world, I am not imposing national network on this transport-ation template.

THERE IS NO TRANSILIEN SUBNETWORK, ouch lost my voice... Transilien Paris Montparnasse, Transilien Paris Nord, Transilien Paris Est, Transilien Paris Lyon and Transilien Paris Saint Lazare do not exist in this world that we live in; only Transilien does. How hard is it to understand ???? Captain Scarlet 19:26 24 March 2006 (GMT).

First, there's no need to get angry, we can calmly discuss about this. Second, this infobox is not dedicated to Rail networks, it is dedicated to Paris public transportation services. No one is saying that Transilien is any kind of specific rail infrastructure, Transilien is described as Paris suburban trains services, and as such, it deserves to be in the infobox. Metropolitan 20:36 24 March 2006 (CET).
I am angry as I feel that both you and Hardouin are not listening. it deserves to be in the infobox I am not discussing the inclusion of Transilien' in the infobox, most certainly not, if you look at where SNCF Ile-de-France links to you will find that it takes you straight to Transilien... The way I see it the infobox should be as I have included below Hardouin's nomenclature: Transilien link in the subtitle and the network of services it is supported upon below. I think it's quite simple and it does link to the whole organisation as it is to this day. Even in stead of having Transilien in your dreams line, it would be more accurate to have each and every indivudual line cited just as the Metro is.

[edit] Updated logos

I hope everyone likes the updated version. These letters are from a "sample panel" I made some time ago in illustrator for another project - but this morning I took the time to export them one by one in .svg format.

Metropolitan's question about copyright is legitimate - but I did think this over before submitting anything. These are line drawings that are more-or-less a tracing off an existing plan - they do not use any fonts. The SNCF "Parisine" font is indeed copyrighted, but even then I think it is available online for purchase, so even that need not apply here... anyhow, even if these were logos, we could just tag them with the {{logo}} template.

One note concerning the coloration of the suburban lines - I hope you don't mind my eliminating these, but they didn't seem to correspond to anything, nor were they in any referential use in any other article. I have never seen, to date, any constant colour scheme for Transilien lines - but if anyone knows better, please remedy. If anyone has any access to corresponding logo/colours, I can copy these too - Illustrator's "live trace" is pretty cool for that kind of thing. Cheers. THEPROMENADER 21:16, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
