Telephone area codes are not related to cities, but to counties. Not to mention that not all the numbering space is geographic, only those numbers starting in 02 and 03 are - i.e. landlines only. Geographic numbers are to be phased away in the coming years.

Therefore, adding e.g. "Telephone code: +40 256" to the page of the city of Timişoara is not only inaccurate (landline operators other than Romtelecom use +40 356), but also pointless, for the reasons stated above. IulianU 21:10, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
