[edit] Removal of automated abbreviation markup
I made this change as a result of looking at Appenzell Innerrhoden and working on the page Ai. The abbreviation for this canton is "AI", which currently redirects to Ai, as does the page "AI (disambiguation)". It is quite unlikely that a user will want to navigate to alternative meanings of an abbreviation for one of the Swiss cantons; it is more likely that one less wikilink is better in this case. Note that I'm only considering this isolated case and not acting on a larger effort in doing what I've done. Regards, Courtland 02:07, July 28, 2005 (UTC)
- No problem. It was somewhat experimental. -- User:Docu
[edit] Flag and coat of arms
Canton of Neuchâtel, Valais and possibly others didn't have both defined, thus breaking the layout of the articles. Thus, I reverted the addition. Please make sure additions work on all 26 pages.
Personally, I wouldn't add flag and coat of arms, because they are generally quite similar. -- User:Docu
And what is this?! http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/ch-ag.html I believe, that this is definition one of cantonal flags! --KirkEN 20:32, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
I put cantonal flags to all articles, so now it's ok :-) --KirkEN 21:32, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- Just what's the added benefit of having both of the following:
- There other, more informative elements we could still add to the infobox. -- User:Docu
-
- .. There appears to be no benefit, let's take it off then. -- User:Docu
