Talk:Inflammation
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page is very much underdeveloped. There is much more to inflammation than this, read any medical journal. The network of immune cells, cytokines and complement seriously deserve coverage! I'm not offering to do it myself... Jfdwolff 21:51, 20 Mar 2004 (UTC)
I agree, the page, as it stands mixes a lot of old clinical stuff about (mainly) wound inflammation and repair with a bit about cytokines, and little about immune cells or complement. Thia deserves far more than one page, and also far more time than I would like to commit to doing it...84.12.156.146 14:45, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fibrin
I would suggest the mention of the inclusion of fibrin in the inflammatory exudate, they laying down of which allows scar tissue formation.
[edit] Advertisment
I removed a bit of advertising text that seems to have been maliciously inserted. The text was "See www.softecare.com for information on anti-inflammation Soft-E-Lotion" Jwinget 18:37, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Anti-inflammatory foods
I am interested to know what people think about the idea of Anti-Inflammatory foods. It seems to be a topic that is coming up more and more (see: Hello Anti-inflammatory foods, List of Anti-inflammatory foods). Is there a good scientific basis for this?
[edit] Chronic inflammation merge
I would keep acute and chronic together, with specifics on chronic inflammatory disease issues in the relevent articles, give a chance for contrasting acute and Chronic in the same article. Steve Kd4ttc 14:46, 6 Jun 2004 (UTC)
