Information Clearing House (ICH) is an alternative media news aggregation website. As the site's tagline "News You Won't Find on CNN or FOXNEWS" implies, the stated goal [1][2] of ICH is to highlight news that is often neglected by mainstream corporate news sources in order to allow people to have access to a wider range of information.

[edit] Overview

The articles are of two types - content written specifically for the site, by such authors as Paul Craig Roberts, Robert Fisk and Noam Chomsky; and archived copies of articles published elsewhere, when the original publication may make the material available for only a short time. The site also archives compressed video material.

The amount of actual commentary on the site is very limited, although occasionally some news articles posted on the front page are preceded by the message "War Pimp Alert", implying that the persons or organisations mentioned in the article are attempting to start, or materially support, a war, and similar editorialisms. On the other hand, third-party articles are tagged with the disclaimer "Information Clearing House has no affiliation whatsoever with the originator of this article nor is Information Clearing House endorsed or sponsored by the originator", implying that a range of viewpoints are presented.

In addition to extensive links to supporting multimedia, ICH includes links to the web sites of major established newspapers, magazines and web based commentary and news services from regions around the world but with a focus on North American sources.
