Information Builders Inc is a privately held software company, with their headquarters in New York. The company was founded in 1975 by Gerald D. Cohen, Peter Mittelman og Martin B. Slagowitz. Together with Microsoft(?), Apple, Oracle, and SAS Institute they belong to the group of big SW companies from the mid-seventies that are still managed by their founders. Information Builders is known for their Business Intelligence tools FOCUS and WebFOCUS. After 25 years of reporting knowledge from a variety of platforms and applications they established iWay Software in 2001. They're a wholly owned subsidiary that focuses on integration and SOA. The group has a worldwide presence with 47 own offices and 26 national distributors. They have more than 1600 employees worldwide and their turnover in 2004 was more than $300 million.
