INFRAWEBS is a project funded by the European Sixth Framework Program (FP6). The acronym stands for "Intelligent Framework for Generating Open (Adaptable) Development Platforms for Web-Service Enabled Applications Using Semantic Web Technologies, Distributed Decision Support Units and Multi-Agent-Systems"

The main INFRAWEBS objective is the development of a toolset for creating, maintaining and executing Semantic Web Services during their whole life cycle, enabling software and service providers to build open and extensible development platforms for web service applications. These services will run on open standards and specifications, in particular the Web Services Modeling Ontology.
