Inertiatic ESP is the somewhat cryptic opening song (minus the introduction) on the Mars Volta album, De-Loused in the Comatorium. Inertiatic refers to the physical state of inertia. The ESP is a phrase created by the band itself, short for Ectopic Shapeshifting Penance-propulsion. The song's meaning is the second part of the story of Julio Venegas, otherwise known as "Cerpin Taxt," as stated in the song's last track. It is probably describing his slip into the coma after being rushed to the hospital.
