This template was created and named with only the List of people by name tree in mind. Only later did it occur to me that it might be useful elsewhere at some point, and that the naming is troublesome.

I'm not a bot-jock, so i'm too lazy to fix the dozens of existing uses of the template to a new name. Someone skilled with bots might rename this template to Template:LoPbN index only or Template:List of people-index only and then fix the name in the existing pages that link to the less specific name.

I reworded the message somewhat. It confused me slightly as I see all of LoPbN as essentially being an index. - SimonP 20:47, Nov 23, 2004 (UTC)
