Improvements

Let's discuss the image. The indian valley logo is owned by the Mifflin County School District and therefore there is no question about the trademark issues. Saintjimmy777 17:34, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

This is a good start. Have you uploaded an image? David D. (Talk) 17:42, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Another student did, but it was deleted because of copyright issues. Saintjimmy777 17:46, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

I believe a school logo, properly tagged, would be allowed- see Wikipedia:Fair_use#Logos. In the page history, I see evidence that an image was deleted because it did not have source information. Friday (talk) 17:50, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
I agree with Friday, there is plenty precedent for other schools having their logos on the school page. See Court_Moor_School and Horace_Mann_School. When uploading the picture make sure it is tagged as fair use. David D. (Talk) 17:55, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Besides the school logo, I feel would should also include a picture of the school which can be obtained by the school districts website, www.mcsdk12.org --Baseballboy374 22:22, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure such a picture would stay around. The School's website is copyrighted, so I don't think you could justify taking it from there. You need to upload the image and explain where it came from, and admins look at those to determine which images can stay. If you take one yourself and upload it, that would be perfectly acceptable to use. Prometheus-X303- 22:58, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

Are you saying it would be an issue with the school or with WikiPedia. I wasn't sure what you meant. Saintjimmy777 12:46, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

It is not legal for Wikipedia to take copyrighted content from other sources. Prometheus-X303- 22:16, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

When I get around to it I'll take one myself and upload it then, it doesnt make much sense though its the same exact image that I could just get off the school's webpage but the only difference would be mine would be bigger since theirs is pretty small, also I feel we should include a wikiepedia page on Ronald Varner the school princepal. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Baseballboy374 (talkcontribs).

If you can get a picture of the school then we can use it. Not to mention more pixels the better. The tiny things on web pages are not as good a resource. Why does it have to be the same picture? Be creative. As far as Varner is concerned, is he notable for anything other than being the principle? Check WP:BIO for the bench marks. David D. (Talk) 05:33, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

yes he owns a smoke dector company in Peru called Velder Safety Products Inc., which sells products to KBR Brands which sells under First Alert brand name.
