[edit] Bias/Advertisement
This article is essentially an advertisement. Somebody needs to essentially rewrite this whole article with WP standards in mind.
It is not biased or advertisement. The Coffee house is a famous institution, and even has a song after it by Manna Dey. It is famous especially among the student's of Presidency College, Kolkata, and was the focal point of a number of social and radical movements, including the Naxalite Movement.130.209.6.40 14:21, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
if this article is not an advertisement, it is still certainly biased. The article is not written to meet WP NPOV standards. For example, claims such as "It has always been a paradise for the poets, artistes, literati and people from the world of art and culture" can only be a quote from some other source. WIthout citing a source of who believes this kind of claim, it is merely an expression of opinion and can be subject to omission. This article is filled with such claims and needs to be rewritten with WP:NPOV standards in mind. greek lamb 09:06, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merge all Indian Coffee House
Why do we need separate article for each branch of Indian Coffee House (ICH as commonly known). AFIK all are employee owned and managed by the Workers' Co-Operative Society, as "Indian Coffee House" is registered name. All the ones I have been has same staff uniform, emblem etc. It is there in many cities/states of India. And more in communist strong areas. Many of the one in Keralam are in/near by Universities or colleges and discussion/meeting point of students.
From http://wikitravel.org/en/Calcutta#Drink I feel ICH Calcutta is the same as http://www.indiancoffeehouse.com/history.htm
So we should merge "Indian Coffee House, Kolkata" back to "Indian Coffee House, Kerala" to form "Indian Coffee House". --Bijee 03:16, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
