PT Indosat Tbk (NYSE: IIT) is an Indonesian telecommunications company. It was established in 1967 as a foreign investment company. It is the second largest provider of wireless services in Indonesia through its three brands, Matrix, Mentari, and IM-3.[citation needed] The company also provides international long-distance, multimedia, data communications and internet access services.

IndosatM2 is Indosat's division for Internet Access, except ADSL. Though Indosat is one of the major leading communication companies in this country, IndosatM2 did not live up to the customer expectation. Many severe lags and internet service disruptions plagued the services and when they do, customers will not get cost adjustment whatsoever to their billing.[citation needed] For corporate customer IndosatM2 provides restitution when the actual network availability below the specified number.

IndosatM2 is the first ISP in Indonesia that has been deploying IPv6 network. As of 2007 Indosat still has the biggest Internet bandwidth directly connected to overseas (mainly to Singapore, Hongkong, and US), because as International telecommunication provider Indosat has many submarine cable to other countries.[citation needed]
