Indomie is the brand name given by Indofood Sukses Makmur, one of Indonesia's largest pre-packaged food companies, founded in 1990 by Sudono Salim

Indomie is a form of ramen noodle, but spiced for the Indonesian palate. It is gaining in popularity all over the world however. The most popular flavour is Indomie Mi Goreng

Indomie comes in a variety of flavours, including:

  • Mi Goreng BBQ Chicken
  • Mi Goreng Pedas (spicy)
  • Mi Goreng Rasa Baso Sapi (beef meatball flavor)
  • Mi Goreng Rendang
  • Mi Goreng Satay
  • Mi Goreng Soto Mie
  • Rasa Soto Ayam (Chicken Soto Flavour)
  • Rasa Ayam bawang (Onion Chicken Flavour)
  • Rasa Ayam Favorit (Chicken Flavour)

Indomie also has a cup noodle variety, in Beef, Chicken, and Tomato

In 2005, Indomie broke the Guinness Book of World Records category for “The Largest Packet of Instant Noodles” , creating a packet that was 3.4m x 2.355m x 0.47m, with a net weight of 664.938 kg, which is about 8,000 times the weight of a regular pack of instant noodles. It was made using the same ingredients as a regular pack of instant noodle and was certified fit for human consumption.[1]
