Indianista

Indianista is movement in South American literature that explored the beliefs and lifestyles of the Indigenous peoples during the nineteenth century. Prominent indianista writers include José María Arguedas and João Guimarães Rosa and Juan León Mera. The word 'Indigenista' is sometimes used instead of 'Indianista'.
