State Road 243 is located in the west central part of Indiana. it ends in the north at US 40 in Putnamville, Indiana and south on Indiana State Road 42 in Cunot, Indiana. Interstate 70 passes through and is an exit, mainly for Leiber State Recreation Area, which features Cagles Mill Lake, a man-made lake, and the states largest waterfalls, the Cataract Falls. Cagles Mill and Dam are also an attraction. The Road also is an alternative route from Interstate 70 to US 40.
