Indiana Evans born July 27, 1990 in Sydney is an Australian actress. She is best known for portraying Matilda Hunter in the Seven Network soap opera Home and Away a role she has played since 2004. As of April 2007 she continues to play the part.

Indiana started acting before friends and family when she was just five years old and when she was seven her parents enrolled her for dance lessons. She first started learning ballet and then moved into Jazz and Tap dance styles and soon began performing before much larger groups.
In 2000, she began taking music lessons and learning percussion. She also joined an agency, Kermond Management, the same year and started modeling. At the age of 11, her music lessons paid off and she got her break in an Asguard commercial. With her first pay check from the commercial, she bought her own drum kit.
In 2003, when Indiana Evans was 13 years old, she obtained a guest role played Milly Roberts in an episode of All Saints, before securing the principal role in an American Campaign for 'Kool Aid'. Indiana also appeared in Comedy Inc. The same year, she also got the role of Abbie Oakly on the television series, Snobs, learning horse riding and surfing for this role.
Before working on Home and Away, Indiana Evans had started high school at Newtown School for Performing Arts, but had to discontinue it after only two weeks to focus on her acting career. She then took up correspondence course until she left school at 15.

In 2004, when her part in Snobs was coming to an end, Indiana was asked to audition for the role of Matilda Hunter in the long running Australian Soap opera Home and Away. Her character is the youngest of the Hunter family and arrived in the show with her twin brother Henry Hunter played by Tobi Atkins who has left.
In 2005 she was nominated for the Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent – Female for this role.
