India also played in a limited overs cricket tri-series against England and Sri Lanka. India won the tri-series, beating England in the final by 2 wickets.
England and India drew the Test series 1-1 with two matches drawn:

- 3rd Test (Headingley Stadium) – India won by an innings and 46 runs
