Indian Hockey Federation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Indian Hockey Federation is the apex governing body of field hockey in India. It was formed in 1928 in Gwalior. It was the first non-European team to be a part of the International Hockey Federation. As a member of the International Hockey Federation, it represents India in all international matches. Under the leadership of KPS Gill & the secretary of the federation, K.Jyothikumaran, Indian Hockey Federation has been accused of basing the selection of the Indian National Team on ad-hocism, regionalism and favouritism.[1]
