[edit] Rivalry

Indian Hills High School has one of the longest rivalries in the state between itself and Ramapo High School. The most significant of events involve each school's football teams. Indian Hill's Braves were trounced by Ramapo High School's Raiders for the first three years of Indian Hill's team each time they played each other. This was due to the fact that there were only freshmen participating on the school's varsity team initially. When they were seniors they finally defeated The Raiders and thus began the serious rivalry. In recent years, the rivalry has been perpetuated with Phil Simm's son Chris Simms attending Ramapo High School and Phil giving Indian Hills the cold shoulder, donating copious amounts of money only to Ramapo even though both schools are in the same district. For an in-depth analysis readers should contact Coach Leicht, Indian Hill's linemen coach and former basketball coach.
