[edit] Fair use thingamagigy

Hey i read the fair use policy and everything, and correct me if i'm wrong, but it says that we can still use it, but we cannot use it in the userboxes. Right? i think that's what it was saying, but i would like someone to just reaffirm that's what's happening.

WP:FU & WP:FUC. And yes, this image could still be used to illustrate articles, all you need to do is add a few sentences which state the rationale behind fair use.

e.g.: This is a low-resolution render of copyrighted content which is not being used in such a way that it diminishes the commercial value of the original product. Since any version of this flag would be a derivative work, there is no possible way to create a free alternative. ˉˉ^anetode╦╩ 21:01, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
