Industrial archaeology is an archaeological sub-discipline concerned with the study of the human industrial past.
The phrase "industrial archaeology" is, as per the Association for Industrial Archaeology (United Kingdom) [1], only fifty years old and, as per the Society for Industrial Archeology (United States) [2], is the study, interpretation, and preservation of historically significant industrial sites, structures, artifacts, and technology.
