Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome is a short 38 minute film by Kenneth Anger, author of the Hollywood Babylon books, filmed in 1954. It is believed to be based on Samuel Taylor Coleridge's atmospheric poem Kubla Khan.[citation needed]

The film was widely played in American universities during the 1960's.[citation needed]

The sound track is from the Czech opera composer Léos Janàček (1854-1928).
