In the Sign of Evil is a 1984 EP by Sodom.
At the time of its release, In the Sign of Evil was considered a thrash metal album, mainly because the black metal scene did not exist yet. However, it is now generally accepted that this EP, as well as Bathory's The Return, were black metal's first starts in the studio.
