- The title comes from the 15th Century philosopher Erasmus, who claimed that "In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king." His thesis being that if all around you are ignorant, then even a little knowledge would make you significant in that community.
- When the Regent comes out from behind the throne, a microphone can be seen being pulled off screen on the right hand side.
