In Heaven

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The song "In Heaven" is sung by the Lady in the Radiator in the movie Eraserhead, and the song has seeped into popular culture to a small extent. For example, the song makes up part of the Modest Mouse song Workin' on Leavin' the Livin', and has been covered live and on record by the Pixies. The song was known as their usual finale to their set.

The song was also sampled in the Mellow Man Ace song "Heaven".

The lyrics to the song are: "In heaven, everything is fine. / You've got your good things, and I've got mine. / In heaven, everything is fine. / You've got your good things, and you've got mine."

The song was written and performed by Peter Ivar for the film Eraserhead, he is credited it in the credits of the movie. Frank Black of the pixies also references the song in one of his solo record songs "I gotta go" and Peter Ivars death.
