In Amenas(pop. 5302) (Arabic: ان اميناس) is a town in eastern Algeria, near the border with Libya. It is located around . The largest Liquefied Natural Gas joint development project in Algeria started there in 2006 year. There is an airport there also. Air Algerie flies to Algiers, Hassi Messaoud, Oran and Ouargla and Tassili Airlines flies to Adrar, El Golea, El Oued, In Salah, Tbessa and Touggourt.
