Welcome!

I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers (although I'm sure you already know some of these):

- No problem, it's great to have you here on the site. I read you're Bio by the way, sounds like a great job to have. I'd like to get over to LA sometime, hopefully for a concert or two. I like in South Dakota, and not many bands I like come here (Linkin Park has only ever been here once). Anyway, glad to have you here, and I hope to see you
around! Jay 19:35, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you for your support
Thank you for your support in the RfA on my behalf. It is an honor to have received your expression of confidence. To be chosen as an administrator requires a high level of confidence by a broad section of the community. Although I received a great deal of support, at this time I do not hold the level of confidence required, and the RfA did not pass. It is my wish that I will continue to deserve your confidence. Sincerely, --BostonMA talk 20:29, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Do you mind if I upload your Miley Cyrus photo to the Wikimedia Commons, so the foreign language Wikipedias can use the pic as well? -→Buchanan-Hermit™/?! 21:46, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Kknightley01.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Kknightley01.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

[edit] Santa Monica Celebrity Report
Thanks for uploading all these images under CC. I was trying to find your newspaper to verify that you took the pictures but I can't seem to find it online. Could you provide a link or some way to verify that you own the pictures? --Phoenix Hacker 05:55, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:EmilyOsment1.jpg
Hello Imageboy1,
Recently I came across this picture, of which I was not too sure whether it's a copyright infringement or not. Were you actually one of the journalists at the 2006 Celebrity Rock n' Bowl? If so, keep up the good work! ;) And please add a link to the original source, e.g. the online version of your newspaper, as this picture only has "Adobe" in its data instead of e.g. camera details. If you were not one of those journalists, I will need to list this image for deletion.
Kind regards, Erik1980 06:57, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Alexis Bledel
Hi, I notice that you upload a image of her, would you put it in commons, so that I can use it for es.wikipedia, and others wikipedias.--Domingo Portales 19:56, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Jennifer Aniston
Hi, I have uploaded the image Image:Jen-aniston-DSC31365.jpg on Commons [1], so if there is something wrong with the information I put on, please let me know. --Nikita85 10:38, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
I have now also uploaded the Alexis Bledel image on Commons [2] to make it possible for other Wikipedias to use it as well. --Nikita85 21:09, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Block appeal
- This is not about uploading images; it is about having a role account. –mysid☎ 18:53, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- I understand that, but why should it be indefinite, and without even a simple Warning? This doesn't make sense. Imageboy1 19:01, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- I agree it was a "bit" hasty... I don't know if this is how it's usually done, though. The main reason for this block is the shared nature of your account; it isn't accepted in the English Wikipedia, primarily for licensing issues. Could you make it so that only you could use this account? That way, I guess the problem would be solved. –mysid☎ 19:14, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I will surely use this account just for myself. I will remove the false info on my userpage (which shouldn't have been put there) about the entire company using one accoutn, and we will get seperate. I will even upload all my images to Commons, so they can be linked interwiki. Now can this be reviewed? Imageboy1 22:01, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

- Indefinite does not mean forever, it means without an automatic expiry time. Now you've said this account is for your own use only, no problem, I have unblocked you. Please do go ahead and clear up the image licensing issues. Guy (Help!)
By the way, it would be great if all the people in your company sign up their own accounts. There's no problem with a whole office getting in on this, they just have to have individual accounts. Thanks! — coelacan talk — 11:07, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Again?!?!
Great. Now even though I've been unblocked, I've been autoblocked. Could someone please get this taken care of, so I can proceed? Thank you.
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:HSMDVDREMIX.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:HSMDVDREMIX.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Jacqueline McKenzie / Joel Gretsch
Hey Roger! I was wondering if you have any pictures of Jacqueline McKenzie or Joel Gretsch (or any other 4400 cast), would be really great if we could get some free images in their articles. Oh and I'm sorry to see you've been taking some rudeness from sysops, there are some that look for reasons to block people! Anyway, your images are very good, have a good day :-) thanks/Fenton, Matthew Lexic Dark 52278 Alpha 771 20:42, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Britney-Spears082.jpg question
Hi! This is a great picture. I see that when you uploaded it to commons you said it was initally contributed to enwiki by BUDSMR... but BUDSMR hasn't uploaded anything, so I'm a little confused there. Also, wouldn't the photographer of this image rather have his real name attributed? "BUDSMR" looks a little weird. :) In any case, thanks for any information. --Gmaxwell 15:49, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- First, thanks for noticing. He didn't have an account on Commons, so I uploaded it for him, and attributed it. I'm gonna contact him about it, and I'll have him reply here. Imageboy1 01:24, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hi there, sorry for the inconvienence. I did take those images, as well as about 100 more at the concert. He's gonna put my name in next time he goes over to Commons. Thanks for the inquiry. BUDSMR 00:44, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Is this users actions allowed?
- Hey there (:O) ... we have an ongoing debate over here on the status of an article. Now the thing I wanted to bring up was the editing and removal and well forceful rhetoric stating the result of the debate before it has even been decided. The one causing all this is User:Ideogram. I have tried so hard to be loving and understanding during this debate, but now I dont know if what the user is doing is right or wrong. I dont know who to go to, so I figure I may ask someone who is very familiar with the wikipedia world and how this should be dealt with maybe? Not sure. Please help. [edit] Your own images
I havent been on wikipedia very long but I know what you mean about there not being many pictures on articles, I think what you are doing is highly commendable but I found it highly ironic and quite funny that you have no pictures on you own user page. You could possibly put a sellection of your best images up or whatever you want Mrpowers999 18:38, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
