Talk:Image map
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Just curious, does Wikipedia support usage of image maps, ie. if I used an image on Wikipedia and divided it into HTML sections like described? -- Natalinasmpf 02:12, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- You can not use general polygons, but you can divide an image in rectangles, like in these chess and go positions, and link each rectangle by means of a redirect on the image page.--Patrick 07:41, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
That's useless. Image maps for Wikipedia would be super super useful. Imagine the diagrams we could have with hot spots linking to relevant articles? --Thoric 15:47, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
I think it would be worth posting an IT request in the village pump on this. I was just browsing the cornea section of optics and wanted to make the diagram of the eye clickable. User:Bandaria 16:52, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
This "article" is a worthless piece of linkspam crap... I'm going to tag it and hope somebody cleans it up and do what I can to make it better... It sounds like a 2nd grader wrote it :( 68.3.17.225
